Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We present the seventh edition of the International Workshop « Flaps for Upper and Lower Limb Reconstruction», annually organized at the European Medical Training Center, Hôpital Kirchberg, Luxembourg. The aim of this course is to train young colleagues in the Plastic and Hand Surgical Reconstruction by experienced and internationally known Hand Surgeons. In this edition the program was fully redesigned and focused on the Upper Limb Reconstruction and Mitek anchor system.
The course is divided in two sections. In the first section the principles of upper limb reconstruction with flaps are illustrated. The second section, the day after, aims to explain in details the techniques to use Mitek anchors in Hand Surgery to repair tendons, ligaments and to perform arthroplasties.
All the topics are explained through lectures that display the anatomical and surgical bases, clinical indications and useful tips. Then the Teacher discusses interactively with the participants the reconstructive options of complex clinical cases.
After each lecture the Participants, in pairs, will directly dissect flaps and try each reconstructive technique on fresh anatomical specimens, under the supervision of a Senior Surgeon.
